LITTLE PIECE OF YOU – AN ATYPICAL MUSICAL

Book by Melissa Leilani Larson
Music & lyrics by Kjersti Long and Jeremy Long

LITTLE PIECE OF YOU (formerly RELATIVE SPACE) combines an intimate family drama with the clear-eyed truth of songs torn from the pages of a teenager’s secret diary. It’s the story of Shannon and Britt, a mother and daughter who catch each other in an easy lie only to discover a hard truth: that the shame and stigma of mental illness has shadowed their family for generations. Realizing that they are both battling the same demons, mother and daughter must decide together to break the cycle of silence.

“The most innovative production that I saw this year was RELATIVE SPACE: AN ATYPICAL MUSICAL… the musical comes together as a deeply emotional and powerfully moving story about topics that I wish we would explore more on stage.” — UTBA reviewer Tara Haas
